Information for Shareholders
The first harvest last season was the last Friday in May. We will email you to let you know when the first harvest will be this year. You can plan on having something every week for the rest of the season.
Picking up your vegetables
Pickup day is Friday. We pick your vegetables in the morning, and have them ready for you by 12:00 PM. There will be something for you every week until the end of the growing season, which will be in late October or possibly early November.
Pack your own bags:
We will put the vegetables in coolers and post information on how much each shareholder can take. You will often be given a choice about what you take.
Unclaimed shares:
We will leave the vegetables in the coolers through the weekend, and either use the food ourselves or donate it to the food pantry, which picks up on Monday morning.
If you are going to be away or can’t pick up at all, please let us know ahead of time. I will make the shares bigger that week, so that your share is divided amoung the other shareholders. Since most shareholders have to skip a week when they are away, it tends to even out over the course of the season.
The Garden
The garden is off to the right as you stand facing the coolers. I take a lot of pride and pleasure in the garden, and am happy to have you come look around. The area behind the gate is our back yard. We prefer that to remain private.
